  3. Request Access to Banner • Complete the Access to Banner Finance form

  4. Logging in to SSB • Log into myTSU

  5. Logging in to SSB • Select Banner Services

  6. Budget Queries • Select Finance from the main menu

  7. Budget Queries • Select Budget Queries

  8. Budget Queries • Select Budget Status by Account

  9. Budget Queries • Select data columns to appear 1 2

  10. Budget Queries • Data columns represent • Adjusted Budget: current budget • Year to Date: transactions to date • Encumbrances: PO’s processed • Reservations: requisitions outstanding • Commitments: encumbrances+reservations • Available Balance: budget less other columns

  11. Budget Queries • Enter appropriate parameters • Click Submit Query button

  12. Budget Queries • Parameters • Fiscal Year: desired fiscal year • Fiscal Period: 01 = July, 02=August, etc. • Chart: S for University, F for Foundation • Grant: = Fund; only needed for grants • Account: used to refine report • May optionally specify comparison year

  13. Budget Queries • Final report screen • Click any blue number for further detail

  14. Compute Additional Columns Complete the “Compute Additional Columns for the query” section

  15. Downloading to Excel • Click Download Selected Ledger Columns

  16. Downloading to Excel • File automatically opens in Excel

  17. Other Functions • If you like the format of the query, you may save the format of the query • Create Another Query • Return to Menu

  18. Other Functions • Encumbrance Query provides a listing of all Encumbrances by Organization or Grant • View Document will provide detail on a specific document

  19. Remember you are only performing queries, you cannot break anything!! The End
