  1. Welcome to ELL, 3/30/12 Warm Up: Pick up ESL notebook Pick up Book Club Folder Begin reading/ working in your ESL notebook right away

  2. I can statement/agenda Today, 3/30, I can… Know: Analyze the final chapters of my class novel. Do: Complete the assigned pages in my student journal and my reading from my reading plan. Agenda: Warm up/announcements: 5 minutes Review due dates:5minutes Notebook/poster work time: 40minutes

  4. What to do when I finish my book Update ESL notebook with quick notes and a book review Turn student journal into HW tray (make sure every question is answered) Begin working on paragraphs for poster project

  5. Welcome to Social Studies, 3/30/12 • Materials Managers: SS notebooks (to study) • Warm Up: • Pick up Elections poster • Sit by partner • Work for 1st 15 minutes • Finish poster • Or study for quiz

  6. I can statement/agenda • Today, 3/30, I can… • Know: Show my growth in my understanding of U.S. elections • Do: Complete the 2012 election post assessment. Agenda • Warm up/finish poster/study: 15 minutes • Quiz: 20-30 minutes • Work on LA poster: 10 minutes

  7. Test expectations • Desks clear (no binders) • When finished, place in HW tray and work on LA reflection • Zero talking, zero notes • Be awesome pegacorns!

  8. Friday, March 30th: Publishing Party! • Materials Managers: no notebooks • Warm up: • Please sit with your book club • finish final touches on poster • Put everything underneath your tables except for: • A pen or pencil

  11. Gallery Walk • Read an essay from your book club and comment on quick note • Move to table to the left when teacher says • Read an essay from a different book club and comment on quick note If finish early: work on personal reflection or read independent reading book

  12. Food and Drink Expectations • We will dismiss you by book club to grab food • Respect your classmate’s posters • Respect the clean classroom environment
