  2. A label is a paper, metal or cloth which is affixed to a container or product and on it written or printed symbols, as well as information related to the product, is printed. Any information printed on a container or article directly is known as labelling. A label provides a lot of information about the origin of a product, environmental advice, warning instructions, and advertising. The labels are of two types; the permanent and the temporary labels. These are the stickers used in the printed packaging. Some labels are cut-to-size, whereas others are available as label rolls. The superior quality label rolls are available in tailor-made shapes, sizes, and materials. Labels and tags are widely used in the retail industry. What Are Labels?

  3. With the help of the ‘shipping label’ tool the easy-to-read labels for the freight shipments are printed and created. Once created the labels are affixed to the outer part of a shipment for communicating the consignee and the shipper information, the shipment details as well as any important information like inspection specifications and reference numbers. What are the Shipping/ Freight Labels?

  4. Direct Thermal: The direct thermal labels on heating change their colour. They can be easily personalized on location. The drawback of these types of labels is that they are easily damaged by heat. • Thermal Transfer: The thermal transfer labels are used in place of the ‘direct thermal’ labels. These labels last long and their colour remains vibrant even in the presence of heat. They show no signs of fading with time. The ‘thermal transfer ribbons’ are used for printing these labels. The DYMO labels use the ‘thermal transfer’ printing tapes. • Inkjet Labels: The inkjet labels are widely used as they are user-friendly, are of low cost, deliver superior-quality output and are available in vivid colours. The different inkjet materials which are used are weatherproof, clear, gloss and foil etc. • Retail Labels: The retail labels are used for promoting and identifying products and brands, controlling inventory and much more. Different Kinds of Labels

  5. The retail labels are used on the different products and provide an array of information associated with the products like labels on a refrigerator provide environmental information and labels on food provide information on the ingredients used in it. • The DYMO labelsare used for labelling the CDs, DVDs and the medical equipment. • The retail labels offer a plethora of information such as pricing, barcodes, usage, guidance, recipes, UID number, advertising, addresses etc. which indicate tampering or pilferage.
