  4. The 3D Look • Look Out • Look Up • Look Beyond

  5. Genesis 15:1-6 • v1.After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram.I am your shield,your very great reward.” • v2. But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit[c] my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”

  6. v4.Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” • v5. He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring[d] be.” • v6. Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

  7. God’s Word to Abram • “Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield,your very great reward.”

  8. Begin by Looking Out • God called him outside of his Bedouin tent • God had to get him outside of his temporal mindset. • Abraham had to look away from himself and his limitations

  9. Look Up • Look up to know and understand God’s vision concerning you • Look up at the infinite possibilities that reside in God Himself- You are not your own • It is hard to believe something when you are looking at your circumstances

  10. Look Beyond • God told him to count the stars. • Abraham needed to catch God’s vision of what He wanted to do in the world. • Haggai 1:4-9

  11. Reposition • V.6 Abraham believed God and it was counted to Him as righteousness • “Position means you choose a place. Reposition means you choose a different place from the one you just had.” (Junior)
