  7. Community of Shanksville Honored Cornell Companies of Houston, Texas employed sculpture Jan Loney to honor the community for all their help during the Flight 93 tragedy. The helping hands sculpture is part of the memorial garden designed by Shanksville student Lauren Zimmerman and is located out the main entrance to the high school. The community provided much need food and water to the emergency workers as well as comfort to the families of the Flight 93 victims.

  8. The Honoring Pole The Lummi Indian Nation and the House of Tears Carvers dedicated the totem pole honoring the Heroes of Flight 93. The bear depicts strength, courage, power, and a willingness to move forward. The bear is protectively holding the two humans. The colors black, red, white, and yellow reflect the four races of the earth

  9. Points to Ponder Flight 93 was being followed by Airforce fighter jets. Do you think the plane should have been shot down? Why do you think Osalem Bin Laden wanted to kill Americans?
