  5. Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) • 20-year LRTP – updated every 5 years • Current 2025 LRTP from 2005-2025 • Updated 2030 LRTP from 2010-2030 • Update due for completion – Dec. 2009 • Focus on broad (macro) planning concepts

LRTP Structure • Energy and Climate Change Position Statement (Draft) • Background and Overview – transportation inventory and County description • Vision Statement – Goals and Objectives (Draft) • Component Plan – technical analysis on specific transportation issues • Scenario Analysis • Recommended or proposed transportation projects • Federal Requirements Narrative

  7. LRTP Goals and Objectives • G&Os provide vision and direction for ITCTC policies and guide expenditure of Federal transportation funds. • Important guiding component of LRTP • 2030 LRTP G&Os currently in draft form
