  1. EXPLORING THE COMMON ORTHODONTIC TREATMENTS There are a lot of solutions to improve the alignment and appearance of teeth. These two factors play a vital in day-to-day life. Improperly aligned teeth cause many inconveniences. People find it challenging to bite and chew food. They suffer from social anxiety because of their appearance. And suffer from increased risks of decays. Orthodontics helps to treat these defects with a variety of appliances and treatments. Here are some of them explained in detail. INVOLVED STEPS Orthodontic consultations are the first step in achieving a straight and attractive smile. During these visits, specialists will assess their teeth, gums, and jaws to create specific treatment plans ideal for a condition. They utilize a wide range of technologies like x-rays, photographs, and digital scans to evaluate problems. TRADITIONAL BRACES This device consists of brackets that are attached to teeth. There will also be wires and ligatures that go around the provided slots. All of these parts work together to exert pressure and push teeth into the optimal position. Traditional braces can treat severe misalignment issues. Braces are made from several materials. Typically, patients can find ceramic, metal, and combined alloy options.

  2. ELASTICS The configuration of elastics makes it an ideal appliance for a malocclusion. It consists of tiny rubber bands to apply extra force. Patients are responsible for removing and placing elastics every day. Orthodontics prescribe elastics to ensure excessive force during a treatment force. Patients should consult with them to find out if this treatment option is best for them. HEADGEAR It is a large device that is strapped around the head. Orthodontic headgears pull back front teeth and improve jaw alignment. The metal wire structure also holds the position of rear teeth. Orthodontists will recommend patients wear headgear only at night. They can be removed when not in use. INVISALIGN These are also called invisible braces. Invisalign aligners are the perfect option for patients concerned about their appearance. The transparent texture offers a discreet solution to improve the alignment of teeth. Similar to braces, Invisalign aligners also apply inward pressure to push the dentition arrangement. FOLLOW US Royaldentalal@gmail.com
