    4. “Small Talk” & Meetings… ˝ hour to hour in Small talk… Use this time to relax, discuss the events of the day, problem behaviors, or to build a friendship! Meanwhile I will meet with each of you or small groups of you to review your behavioral prescriptions and individualize it further.

    5. Behavioral Prescriptions Group sharing of successes in the behavior changes in loved ones and changes in their responses to problem behaviors What is working well? What problems are you having? Possible solutions?

    6. The question… Is it hard for you to have quiet time for yourself or time to do things YOU enjoy? Yes… then stay tuned this section will really benefit you! No… then share with us what you do to ensure your personal time!

    7. Decreasing Stress is not enough… Enjoy life too! Although decreasing the negative stress in life is important, having positive events to look forward to is also important. Pleasant events can – and SHOULD be – small simple pleasures you can put into your everyday routine.

    8. What pleasant events do… Increases social support Improves emotional health Improves physical health Increases quality of life Improves overall well-being Resulting in being a better caregiver and being a more pleasant person to spend time with!

    9. How to be successful… Select things you enjoy Keep it small and simple Put at least one in everyday!

    10. Brain storm… What activities are pleasurable to you? On your own With others

    11. Plan time… and follow through What things will you need? Where will it happen? How often can it be done? How much time will it take? The steps I need to take in order to complete my pleasant event are… I will do my pleasant event on these days at these times...

    13. Plan time… and follow through What things will the two of you need? Where will it happen? How often can it be done? How much time will it take? The steps I need to take in order to complete a pleasant event for the two of us are… I will plan to do a pleasant event with my loved one on these days at these times...

    14. Continue on… Noting changes and progress towards the goal for behavioral prescriptions Practice the relaxation exercises at least once a day! Include pleasant events in your daily life… for yourself and for the two of you!

    15. Evaluation of the Workshops What worked well? What didn’t? Was there too much time spent on some topics? Not enough time? What was confusing? What was easy to understand?
