  4. Who was david? • David was the second King of the United Monarchy of Israel. • He served by divine appointment for forty years.

  5. Most known for • Defeating Goliath, the nine foot Philistine war champion. • David was armed with only a sling-shot and river rocks.

  6. Most known for • David spent much of his early adulthood running and hiding from King Saul who sought to kill David out of jealousy!
