  2. Life • He was a man of pride. • He lived from Jan. 18912-Aug. 11 1956 During his life time Jackson enjoyed fame he was the best artist of his time. He died in a car accident when he was 44, people say that he was driving drunk and crashed.

Jackson’s best painting came out in the 1950’s it was called “Drip period”. • Jackson once said “ I feel near more a part of the painting, since this way I can walk round it, work from the four sides and literally be in the painting. This is akin to the methods of the Indian sand painters of the West
