  4. The answer is: I was sleeping when someone knocked on the door.

  6. 2 • we / watch a movie / a baby / begin to cry • We were watching a movie when a baby began to cry.

  7. 3 • someone / laugh / teacher / talking • Someone laughed while the teacher was talking.

  8. 4 • fall down / she / ride her bike • She fell down when she was riding her bike.

  9. 5 • They / run in the hall / class start • They were running in the hall when the class started.

  10. 6 • a thief / steal / my wallet / shopping • A thief stole my wallet when I was shopping.

  11. 7 • he / carry his books / drop one • He was carrying his books when he dropped one.

  12. 8 • he / make a phone call / wait for the bus • He made a phone call while he was waiting for the bus.

  13. 9 • I smile / because / the baby / laugh • I smiled because the baby was laughing.
