  6. 1: An action in the past which overlaps or is interrupted by another action or a time. • 2. To emphasise something lasted for a long period of time. Usually used it with time expressions like 'all day' or 'all evening' or 'for hours’. • 3. We can also use past continuous to explain when 2 actions over a longer period of time were happening at the same time. Usually used with time expressions like ‘while.’ Why we use past continuous

  8. 2. To emphasise that something lasted for a long period of time. Usually used with time expressions like 'all day’, 'all evening' or for specific time.

  9. 3. We can also use past continuous to explain when 2 actions over a longer period of time were happening at the same time. Usually used with time expressions like ‘while.’
