  1. Summit Summit held in October 2012 – chaired by Cabinet Secretary for Justice First Progress Group held 7 Dec 2012, to report back to summit members after 18 months from Oct 2012. Identified 11 key actions to take forward including awareness raising, data collection, victim care, legislation A number of sub groups have been formed to take forward the action points – to report back to Progress group in June/ July 2013. Obviously early days as work is being taken forward

  2. EU Trafficking Directive • We consider that Scotland is already broadly compliant with the requirements of the Directive, but the Scottish Government is considering whether any final measures may be required to transpose the obligations of this Directive into domestic legislation.

  3. EHRC Letter – Nov 2012 • A copy of our response was sent to the authors of the letter. • On 15 January 2013 the Cabinet Secretary for Justice responded by advising that officials are currently considering with Whitehall and Northern Ireland colleagues what further measures are required to achieve overall compliance. • EHRC report was published on Wed 6th March - Scottish Government is currently considering this.
