  1. Group Project – Making a Wiki EDN113 – Living and Learning with Technology KAL-culated Learning – Katherine Bamford, Amy Muir and Lisa Martinez

  2. Working as a group • Contacting group members via email • Set a time to meet up for coffee and a chat • Deciding on a topic and age group for the wiki teacher’s resource • Dividing up the task into ‘who is doing what’ – or so we thought at that stage!

  3. The Wiki - Online • Logging into the wiki via the companion website • Creating pages named with our group name and a heading • Creating a tag name for each page

  4. Problems-Causing us to rethink • Our task subject was too broad – rethink Solution: Healthy Eating • The way we had divided up the task was not going to work – rethink Solution: Take a page each of Introduction, Task, Resources or Teachers Info.

  5. Homepage • Introduce topic and year level • Add curriculum alignment details • Add task overview • Add appropriate photos • Add a navigation menu • Add a list of resources

  6. Task Page • Discuss ‘Healthy Eating’ topic in more detail • Step by step instructions for daily activities • Attached related photos for the topic • Added links for websites and movies

  7. Resources Page • Found information relating to each of the following resources: Websites, documents, interactive whiteboards, movies, social networking sites. • Added related photos for the topic

  8. Teacher Info Page • Detailed information for teachers about teaching ‘healthy eating’ topic to K-PP • In depth lesson plan for project • Lesson timing • Resources for each day • Links to related resources • Added related photos for topics

  9. Conclusion • Increased our technological knowledge • Developed skills of working as a group • Gained basic knowledge of lesson planning
