The Oakdale Comprehensive conducted a student lesson audit in November 2010, gathering feedback on lesson experiences, teacher qualities, and learning obstacles. Results were distributed, sparking staff discussions and creating educational posters displayed around the school. A DVD summarizing student feedback will be shown in assembly to promote student-teacher collaboration.

Student Lesson Audit. The audit was carried out on Monday 8th of November 2010. Lesson 2. All pupils filled in a questionnairefocusing ontheir experience in lesson one that day.
The Questionnaire had3 sections • The structure of the lesson • Perceived lesson outcomes. • Relationships between staff and pupils and how teachers are perceived.
Publishing the results • All staff were given a copy of the report. • It generated much discussion in the staff room.
The Student Voice Group. • Nine students from year 7 to year 10. • Three sessions
Each session had a focus. • What are the qualities of a good teacher • What makes a good lesson. • What gets in the way of their learning in class and what helps them to learn
Posters • In each session the students created a poster on the theme. • These posters were displayed in the staff room on the teaching and learning notice board. • Areport was written and distributed to all staff.
The DVD • We have produced a DVD. • It is being shown in assembly this week. • All students and all teachers will see this DVD.
