  2. LMS INFO SCHOOL HOURS • SCHOOL BEGINS AT 8:15 • SCHOOL ENDS AT 4:00 • Four minute passing periods • 45 minute classes • 9 class periods – 8 classes and 1 tutorial • Tutorials for ½ hour • Activity Schedule for pep rallies or events

  3. BELL SCHEDULE Period Time • 1st 8:15—9:00 • 2nd 9:04—9:49 • 3rd 9:53—10:38 • 4th 10:42—11:27 • 5th 11:31—1:01 • Lunch (1) 11:31 – 12:01 • Lunch (2) 12:01 – 12:31 • Lunch (3) 12:31 – 1:01 • 6th 1:05—1:50 • 7th 1:54—2:39 • 8th SH 2:43—3:11 • 9th 3:15—4:00

  4. COURSES REQUIRED • 5 CORE CLASSES: • Math, History, Science, Reading, Writing • 2 REQUIRED ELECTIVES: • Athletics or PE; Technology • 1 ELECTIVE CHOICE: • Art, Theatre, CTE, Band, Choir, Photojournalism*, General Music • May be a chance of Spanish & Teen Leadership

LMS INFO PE & ATHLETICS • PE AND ATHLETICS – REQUIRED • PE = organized daily sports • Athletics = ALL sports register, competitive and hard work, in off season when not participating in sport • All Athletic students must have a current athletic physical and may be drug tested • Once you are in athletics, you must stay in for the entire year. • Before school practices – must provide own transportation • UIL RULES – NO PASS – NO PLAY

HONORS CLASSES • Honors English – replaces the regular reading class • Honors Science – will be required to take IPC class in 8th grade (HS credit) • Honors Math – will be required to take Algebra in 8th grade (HS credit and EOC) • Must test for Honors class! Grades, teacher recommendation & testing

  7. Some things to consider • Some classes build • Photojournalism to have Yearbook • Must be in band 7th to take in 8th grade year • Honors Science and Math • Some classes audition in 8th grade • Theatre II • Honors Choir • Art II • Some additional classes in 8th • Advanced computer • Outdoor Adventure • Teen Leadership

  8. 7th GRADE TEAMS • PHOENIX TEAM: • Dalton, Golleher, Millican, C. Rodriguez, Weber • RAVEN TEAM: • S. Anteau, Benson, Phillips, Sigmon, Stewart • OSPREY TEAM: • Ballew, Haile, Harris, Morgan, Patton TEAMS ARE DETERMINED, BY ELECTIVE CHOICES!

  9. IMPORTANT • NO SCHEDULE CHANGES AFTER 1ST WEEK • THERE ARE NO TEAM/TEACHER REQUEST • WE DO NOT SCHEDULE FRIENDS TOGETHER • KEEP IN MIND WHAT CLASSES BUILD • CONSIDER CLASSES CAREFULLY – IT IS OFTEN DIFFICULT TO CHANGE • DO NOT TAKE A CLASS BECAUSE YOUR FRIEND IS TAKING IT
