  3. CT.gov Update Taxonomy • Committee without Chairperson.   • Form for agencies to request updates, removals or additions to links within the site nav on CT.gov • Dublin Core Meta Data we would like webmasters to include on the pages listed for their agency

  4. CT.gov Update DOIT Internet Services • Portal Management Group Update • Placed ct.gov into production December 2002 • Significant staff changes since last meeting • Remaining staff: • Angela Taetz, Mario Mezzio, Craig Mollison, Michael Varney

  5. CT.gov Update DOIT Internet Services • Current Status of Installation • Portal Server Operating Systems upgraded • Portal Software upgraded • Development system upgraded H/W S/W • Installed additional instance of DSF inside the • firewall for CJIS • Network upgraded

What else have we been doing? • Working with Portal Vendor (PPT) - Increasing our knowledge base - Documenting and requesting enhancements - Planning Ulogin migration • Setting up development server for all training sites. All existing training sites will eventually be deleted and administrators can request a site on the new server • Coordinated the CJIS install

What else have we been doing?cont. • DevelopingCT.gov Portal User Guidebook • Managing CT.gov Portal Site • Took over MPAI – Municipal website publishing (no plans to move them into the portal at this time) • Looking into eAlert integration with wireless devices • Trained additional staff on migration procedures

  13. What’s Next • Complete Content Admin portion of Guidebook in May and make available online • Continue working with agencies in the queue • Host Portal user meeting and Webmaster Workshops for migration planning • Initiate a CT.gov Marketing Plan • Work on Portal Templates – Sizing and Colors

  15. Portal User MeetingMay 21, 2003 • Bi-monthly meetings for System Administrators on the portal. • Every meeting will feature a demonstration on a less familiar aspect of DSF. • Encourage open forum between administrators and PMG staff

Webmaster Migration MeetingJune 12, 2003 • The meetings are meant to get webmasters started on as much of the migration process as possible before they kickoff the actual migration with PMG. • Go over pre-migration checklist • Answer any technical questions and demonstrate if needed • Tips to achieve user based navigation • Portal folder overview – setting up the admin side of the sites • Overview of tools to help
