National CASA Association • Role of national organization: • National CASA offers leadership and supports continued growth of the CASA network. • Specific activities include offering: • Training & Curriculum • Technical Assistance & Quality Assurance • Volunteer Recruitment & Public Awareness • Resource Development & Grants

Alaska CASA • Role of state organization: • Provides technical assistance to programs • Supports development of new programs • Creates opportunities for communication & networking • Sends out information to programs • Increases awareness statewide of CASA & needs of children • Assists with resource development

  5. Local CASA Programs • Role of local CASA programs: • Recruitvolunteers and conduct a background check • Train volunteers to prepare them for your court system • Support volunteers as they work on their case • Provide 12 hours of in-service continuing education annually

What you can do to support CASA • Talk to tribal leaders, tribal judges about how CASA can benefit your children • Share information about CASA with your community • Hold recruitment events • Share CASA information in your workplace via e-newsletter, posters, brochures, etc. • Visit the Alaska CASA website
