Parent Earth • A new company founded by Nicole Betancourt and Sarah Schenck • Parent Earth syndicates original and aggregated videos with the goal of answering parents’ questions about food • Content ranges from videos about cooking, urban gardening, food systems, educational music videos, and more

  4. Parent Earth Community Parent Earth seeks to… • …create a community of viewers who shape the content of the site through their questions, discussions, and even their own videos, which they can submit to the site • …educate parents to be conscious consumers and get engaged with their local communities • …work with corporate and local businesses to promote healthy, affordable, fresh food as the norm rather than the exception

  5. Editing • Logged and captured footage • Assembled outlines of footage for outside editors • Edited a number of short videos, including: How to Make Granola with Kids, Solutions for Morning Sickness, profiles on “Parent Earth Experts,” and a brief overview of the ubiquitous corn industry

Production Assistant Assisted two shoots: -Interview with Ana Joanes, Director of Fresh, a documentary About the sustainable and local foods movement -Cooking shows with Amy Marlow: Thanksgiving and Mediterranean-themed dinners for all ages, from babies to adults Attended pre-production meetings, transported equipment, operated boom, prepped food for cooking segments
