How can dietitians effectively provide nutrition counseling for clients in these sports? It is vital for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) to understand the speci?cs of weight classes along with how weight class goals affect nutritional intake and vice versa. For athletes in aesthetic sports, RDNs need to be able to recommend adequate nutrition and help the client maintain a healthy body while supporting competition goals. It can seem like eating well con?icts with MAKING WEIGHT and keeping the right body type for aesthetics. As dietitians, we need to help clients, coaches, and families see that nutrition plays a key role in maintaining a healthy weight and helping achieve performance goals. This one-hour webinar will discuss how to approach these situations. An overview of weight classes and how clients can make weight without engaging in DE will be covered.
