REQUIREMENTS • Physicals • Interval form • Yellow cards • Practice • Contact information form- your name, grade level, parents name, cell phone number, home number, emergency number, email address, home room teacher • School duties
Possible Injuries • Bumps and Bruises • Cuts • Sprains • Etc. • Wrestler must report any injury to coach ASAP.
Equipments • T-Shirt and Mesh Shorts (Blue, White, Gray or Black) • Head gear • Knee pad • Wrestling shoes (blue or white) • Singlet • Warm up
Hygiene • Hygiene is very critical in Wrestling • Wrestlers are required to shower after practice • Wrestlers should bring swimming trunks, soap, and their own towel to every practice and competition • This will prevent skin infections from occurring. • We want to make sure we have done everything possible to provide a safe environment for our student-athletes
Preventions • Wrestlers must always bring a clean athletic clothing to practice in • We will always be washing the mats with bleach to make sure they are properly cleaned • NO Wrestler should be sharing any type of equipment with another wrestler. Everyone should bring their own clothing, towels and headgear. • All cuts shall be taking care of and covered properly to eliminate any infections. • Wrestlers MUST SHOWER IMMEDIATELY with soap after practice!!!
Practice • Wrestlers are required to make every practice unless they have notified the Coach before hand with a legitimate excuse • Practices will be held in the Elmer Akley Wrestling Room, OMS upper gym, from 3-5pm, Monday-Friday unless told other wise by the Coach • Wrestlers must always come to practice prepared to practice in Athletic shorts and t-shirt • There will be weekend practices in the Elmer Akley Wrestling Room from 9-11.

Each Student-Athlete will have a responsibility and will work together with the team.
Practice Planning • My goal is to make wrestling a fun and competitive experience for every member of the program. • For practice we will be learning basic technique of wrestling • We will establish a solid structure of wrestling moves that will continue to drilling and improve upon • Each practice will include some type of Cardio • Once Student-athletes understand the rules and some basic technique we will include live wrestling, so participants will grasp what a real match will be like • We will also try and make wrestling a fun and positive experience by including different games that relate to wrestling.
Duties as a modified wrestler • Modified wrestlers will help the program in a variety of ways • Modified members will participate in helping out at Varsity events • Modified wrestlers will be a part of fundraisers to earn funding for the Oswego Wrestling Program • Overall All Modified Wrestlers will be held to being a respectable and well-rounded individual on and off the wrestling mat
