SAFEGUARDING • “Inspecting safeguarding in maintained schools and academies” • Statutory guidance – “Keeping children safe in education” in force since April 2014 • Information Commissioners Office – have you registered? • CCTV – do you have a policy in place? • Do governors have a good oversight of risk assessments?

PHSE – new post • F/T PHSE post from January (funding from Health) • New Education and Health Ctte in place chaired by Director of Education – has headteacher representation • The aim of the group is to ‘anchor’, co-ordinate and enhance work to support PSHE and the well being of young people in Southwark Schools.
