Using the UB Course Evaluation System

The UB Course Evaluation System provides students with an accessible platform to provide feedback on their courses. Students will receive email notifications when evaluations are open and can log in using their UBITName and Password. The system allows for mobile completion of evaluations, ensuring convenience. Anonymity is assured, with responses unable to be linked to any individual student. Your participation is vital in helping instructors enhance instructional strategies and course relevance.   1. Using the UB Course Evaluation System A Guide for Students The UB Course Evaluation System is powered by

  2. Email Notification • You will be prompted with an email from Campus Labs when course evaluations are open. From: notification@ce.mail.campuslabs.com To:Smith, Jane Subject: Course Evaluations Are Open

  3. MyUB Announcement • An announcement will also be posted on MyUB with a link to the course evaluation site. Course Evaluations are now open. Log in to complete yours today.

  4. Logging In • Course Evaluation uses the same login as other UB central services. • Enter your UBITName and Password and click Log in. • You will be directed to the course evaluation landing page.

  5. Course Evaluation Landing Page • You will see courses within the current evaluation period and those you have completed in the past. • Click Startto begin the evaluation for a class.

  6. Completing an Evaluation • Click on the radio buttons to indicate your level of agreement with each item. • Click Nextto continue.

  7. Completing an Evaluation • Open ended items are not required but allow you to discuss your impressions of the course in more detail.

  8. Completing an Evaluation • When you have finished the evaluation, a green check will be placed in front of the course title on the landing page. • You can edit your responses until the evaluation closes on the Due Date.

  9. Mobile-Responsive Technology • Evaluations can be completed on any mobile device. • Instructors may provide time in class for students to complete evaluations on smart phones, tablets and laptops.

  10. Anonymity of Course Evaluations • Responses are COMPLETELY anonymous! • Instructors or administrators cannot see the identity of respondents, nor can they link responses to a specific student.

  11. Your Participation is Important! • Course evaluation data is important for your instructors! • They use the summarized data from a course to: • Perfect instructional strategies; • Identify areas where students might need additional supports; • Review the relevance of course content; • Improve the overall course; and, thus, • Improve the instructional environment and student learning at UB.
