  3. Why to port? • Enabling AliEn for the army of the Windows users • Portability is one of the principal requirements to the Grid soft(middle)ware • AliEn has been chosen by EGEE for its activity of the integration of the middleware of the leading Grids (Joint Research Activity 1 of EGEE)

  9. Future work: Port of gLite • Nearest plans (agreed with P.Buncic and A. Di Meglio): • Creation and configuration of the gLite build system for Windows in compliance with the standards of EGEE Developer’s Guide(https://edms.cern.ch/document/468700/)and EGEE Software Configuration Management Plan(https://edms.cern.ch/document/446241/ ) • Test of the built system by porting to Windows sample modules from the gLite CVS repository
