Workforce & Economic Development Committee • Launched in 2017 with 3 Priorities: • Workforce Development • Employer Engagement • Entrepreneurship Welcome TLC Co-Chairs MechelleZarou & ReemSubei. Mechelle is a local immigration employment attorney and does presentations and overviews on hiring immigrants for employers and in partnership with Welcome TLC and Lucas County.

Welcome TLC Guide to Hiring Immigrants PAGE 4: U.S. Work Visa Types Eligibility & Requirements PAGE 1 The Welcome TLC Guide to Hiring Immigrants was adapted from the work of the St Louis Mosaic Project. The Guide will be mailed out to webinar participants, for additional copies, please contact Brittany Ford at bford@co.lucas.oh.us.

  44. State Network & Collaboration OWIN advocated for the creation of a statewide Office for New Americans, as other states have done. In 2018, Governor John Kasich launched the Office of Opportunities for New Americans, OWIN members were in attendance. Members of the Ohio Welcoming Initiatives Network (OWIN), a statewide collaboration of immigrant inclusion initiatives advocating for workforce and economic integration. Founded in 2014, meets quarterly.
