  4. CPR Instruction An LEA must provide instruction to students in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (19 TAC §74.38). The completion of CPR instruction must be entered in the student record. If completed in Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 the completion of the instruction must be clearly indicated on the academic achievement record (TAC §74.5).

Peace Officer Interaction Instruction A student who has completed the required instruction on proper interactions with peace officers as a part of the required curriculum for students in grade levels 9-12 shall have the completion of the instruction clearly indicated on the academic achievement record (TAC §74.5).

  8. Peace Officer Interaction Instruction Met Date PEACE-OFFICER-INTERACTION-INSTRUCTION-MET-DATE is the date (month and year) the student completed the instruction regarding appropriate interactions with peace officers required under TEC 28.025(b-20). (SBOE Approved)

DISCIPLINARY-ACTION-REASON (TC07) • Revised: • Previously: 12 – Unlawful Carrying of an Illegal Knife under Penal Code 46.02 – TEC 37.007(a)(1) (Illegal knife - blade longer than 5.5 inches) • Currently: Code 12 – Unlawful Carrying of a Location-Restricted Knife under Penal Code 46.02 – TEC 37.007(a)(1) (Location-Restricted knife - blade longer than 5.5 inches)

  20. LEP-INDICATOR-CODE (TC15) • Added: • Code 3 – Student Exited from LEP Status - Monitored 3 (M3) - student has met criteria for bilingual/ESL program exit, is no longer classified as LEP in PEIMS, and is in his or her third year of monitoring as permitted by ESSA, 1111(b)(3)(B) and is not eligible for funding due to the fact that they are not LEP.

  21. LEP-INDICATOR-CODE (TC15) • Added: • Code 4 – Student Exited from LEP Status - Monitored 4 (M4) - student has met criteria for bilingual/ESL program exit, is no longer classified as LEP in PEIMS, and is in his or her fourth year of monitoring as permitted by ESSA, 1111(b)(3)(B) and is not eligible for funding due to the fact that they are not LEP.

  22. Performance-Acknowledgement-College-Readiness-Assessments (TC38) • Added: • Code 6 – Acknowledgment for SAT: total score of at least 1310 • Code 7 – Acknowledgment for ASPIRE: College readiness benchmark met on 3 or more of the 5 subject tests • Effective dates for codes 4, 5, 6 and 7 • Retire code 1 from future use. • Code 1 – Acknowledgment for PLAN or ASPIRE: College readiness benchmark met on 2 or more of the 4 subject tests
