  1. Monty Panesar Chooses Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin in his India XI for WTC Final Former England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar has named two spinners and three fast bowlers in his India playing XI for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand that will begin in Southampton from June 18 as well. While there shouldn’t be any doubt on India’s top-five batsmen as well as wicketkeeper-batsman, there were speculations over the bowling line-up as they have plenty of options in their kitty. With the WTC final taking place in June, there could be a chance that the Team India go in with four pace bowlers and one spinner as well. He is expecting that India to play with both the left-arm spinner Jadeja as well as veteran off-spinner R Ashwin in the playing XI. He has also added experienced pace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma in the playing XI while leaving out youngster Mohammed Siraj for the much-awaited final. As per his playing XI, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant should come in to bat at No. 6 while the youngster Shubman Gill and experienced Rohit Sharma should open the batting for India as well. Monty Panesar’s India XI for WTC final (as per the batting order): Openers: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill; No 3: Cheteshwar Pujara, No. 4: Virat Kohli, No. 5: Ajinkya Rahane, No. 6: Rishabh Pant, No. 7: Ravindra Jadeja, No. 8: R Ashwin, No. 9: Jasprit Bumrah, No. 10: Mohammed Shami, No. 11: Ishant Sharma.
