  1. Mohammed Shami Believes Indian Pacers Are Better Than The Kiwis Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has praised India’s fast bowling attack and said that it is better than New Zealand pacers. India will take on New Zealand in the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship final in Southampton next month. Shami is on the verge of returning to the India team after sustaining an injury in hand six months ago during Adelaide Test against Australia. However, he is desperate to join his teammates, especially his pace-bowling unit comprising of Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The pace trio is likely to lead the Indian bowling attack against New Zealand in Southampton as well. When we play Test cricket, even if someone is having a bad day the other bowlers step up. When someone is down, we make sure to pick up that teammate and carry the team forward as a unit. We try to cheer him up as well,” Shami told Sports Tak. “If you see our records, you will have an ideaof what I’m talking about. Fans don’t become fans overnight; they know the entire history. We have done a lot of homework to build this fast-bowling trio of me, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah,” he further added.

The final of WTC will start on 18 June in Southampton’s Ageas Bowl. While New Zealand will play a two-match Test series against England prior to the much-awaited WTC final, Team India will take on England in a five-match Test series after the WTC final in August.
