PEOPLE Workshop 26- 27 October - Agenda • 26th – 10 – 11 arrivals / coffee at the conference centre - 56 avenue de la Grande Armée 75017  Paris • 11am start of session – Introductions from Chris Walsh Director – Wise Owls – co-ordinator PEOPLE • + Pierre Bardon of ACE – our French hosts– info on premises / safety etc / directions etc • 11:30 – Introductions by all participants • 12:00 – Start of formal session – proposed work plan / timetable  for conference / future PEOPLE activities – followed by discussion • 12:30 – Outline of proposed development plan for PEOPLE13:00 – 14:00 LUNCH • 14:00 - PRESENTATION – Best practice in support of older working age people – Employment •   Case study – how to overcome barriers - Danny Mui from Wise Owls – re Age Works / Care 2 Work projects • Case study – how to overcome employer prejudice – Peter Murphy – Wise Owls • Case study from France Christine d’Allens, Pierre Bardon, Yves de Trégomain + Others •  15:00 Discussion • Best practise in providing learning and education support to older people – formal education inside and outside of employment – Casestudy Peter Murphy / Joan Tustain Wise Owls re their train to gain project • Case study – Cormal education for employed people • Discussion • 17:15 – Summary of discussion and agreed future actions • 18:00 END– Social followed by meal at restaurant • 27th – start 9:30 coffee • 10am start Mr Bruce Roch (Temporary firm Adecco - their practices for return to employment of unemployed seniors ) • 10: 30 – Session on Campaigns relating to older people/ employment and learning • Led by case studies – Andrew Robertson - Wise Owls • Discussion on what topics should we campaign around • Links to AGE and other networks – how to influence our own govts / media / decision makers / public plus how to influence the EU • 12:30 - SUMMARY and agreed future actions / campaigns / people responsible • 13:00- 14:00 LUNCH • 14:00 – Conclusions of the meeting with the presence of third parties (Elected mayor of districts in Paris) • 14:30 - Start session on Research into older working age people / employment / equalities etc • 14:45 – Case studies – Valery Small – Wise Owls • 15:00 - Discussion till 3.30pm • 15:30- 16:00 Summary of agreed future activities – secondary and primary research and links to other research nationally and in EU16:00 – 16:30 Finish of workshops / conference • 17:00 END and Social networking for those able to stay
