  1. EurAsia Cup is essential for the future of golf 14 January 2018: The scent of victory was intoxicating, at least so long as it lasted. Team Asia gave a good account of itself before succumbing in the singles on Sunday. Even then, the EurAsia Cup this week suggested that this could be the kind of event that is essential for the future of golf. Europe has a rich heritage in golf and Asia is the fastest growing market for golf. It could be just the kind of potion needed to liven up the game as it battles an increasingly competitive market for sport.Golf is in the midst of a phase of reinvention – events such as golf sixes, long drive and putting competitions are all an effort to spread the game to a younger audience. But nothing seems enough to stem the tide for a game that is finding it incre

  2. Masters Tournament always makes for a great time for people to think about golf, beyond the sport. Being at Augusta National top golfers said about being there.Bobby Jones at the opening oand playing the tournament is in itself a milestone for the players. Here’s what some of the world’s f Augusta National in 1933: “Our overall aim at the Augusta National has been to provide a golf course of considerable natural beauty, enjoyable for the average golfer and at the same time testing for the expert player striving to better par. We want to make bogeys easy if frankly sought, pars readily obtainable by standard good play, and birdies – except on par fives – dearly bought.”

  3. Shubhankar Sharma refuses to blink under pressure March 04, 2018: At the start of the third round on Saturday, Shubhankar Sharma found himself on the practice range at the same time as Phil Mickelson. As he approached the 47-year-old veteran, Shubhankar heard Lefty say, “not now, after the round,” assuming that the young man was from the media. Bottle that moment, for a book, maybe. Shubhankar will stride out on Sunday with the five-time major winner as he looks to underline his emergence with an emphatic victory in the WGC Mexico.

  4. 10 year old prodigy Shubham Jaglan scripted a scintillating one stroke win at the Junior World Golf Championships. His three-day total of seven-under par 179 was better than rest of the field to become the Junior World Champion in his age category. “When you are playing in these big tournaments, you should have your mind set otherwise you can’t win anything,” says this young boy, the son of a milkman. He has won over 100 tournaments and been felicitated by legends like Gary Player. There are other stories. Though not so successful yet. India’s golf scene is seeing of many young children taking to it but its only the lack of facilities that remains a challenge. “I think that the difference between India and America is the golf facilities. Golf facilities in the US gives ample opportunities for kids to take up golf. While in India, most of the parents only think of medals. However, in the western countries there is no pressure on kids to win medals.” https://golfingindian.com/
