  1. Summer Camp 2009

  2. What, Where and When... Somerset Christian Camps runs for two identical, separate weeks: Monday 3rd – Friday 7th August Monday 1oth – Friday 14th August at Kingweston House, near Somerton, Somerset. Sleep in a giant army tent with your friends and your two great tent leaders. Making friends is easy and everyone plays their part – will your tent team get the most points and take home the winners’ trophies this year?

  3. Who... Summer Camp exists to give kids from all backgrounds the opportunity to learn more about God’s love for them in a fun and safe environment. Camp is for 7 – 12 year old boys and girls who love to have fun. Why not come along with a friend? Lots of people come to Camp without knowing anybody, but always leave with loads of new mates. We’re always looking for new leaders... ...so if you’re 16 or older and have enough energy to keep up with 6 kids all day, every day for a week – we want to hear from you! Bring friends or make new ones - it’s fun and rewarding too!

  4. Sport... There’s loads of fun sport to take part in at Camp, whether it’s tournaments, treasure hunts or whole tent team games. Football, table tennis, short tennis, swingball, trampolining, dancemat, bucketball, water games, tug of war...

  5. New and exciting craft activities every year. Build points for your team with tons of great craft suitable for everyone. From piggy banks to keyrings, bookmarks to yo-yos! Get stuck in and take whatever you make home at the end of the week for free! Craft...

  6. Games... If you’ve still got energy after all that, then you’ll love all the extra fun and games. Treasure hunts, wide games, hunt the officer, water games, banana bonanza...

  7. Trips... Wednesdays and Fridays are trip days. Where will we go this year? Longleat, Bristol Zoo, Crealy, the beach, Sedgemoor Splash, Explore@Bristol... just some of the fab places we’ve been!

  8. Big Church... Each evening we pack into Big Church to find out more about God. Stories, songs, sketches, quizzes, prizes and tons more! And every morning, there’s the opportunity to ask questions and go deeper with the Quiet Time notes.

  9. The Details... 10. How Can You Help? Camp always needs hundreds of people to pitch in to make sure it happens. Could you... ...pray that God prepares the hearts of those coming? ...come and help set up and take down the tents? ...offer a night of your time to patrol and ensure the children’s safety? ...sponsor a child to come to Camp or donate directly to us? We’d love to see you at our evening Big Church celebrations if you want to see what goes on at Camp. Just arrive on site at around 7pm. You’re more than welcome!
