Proposed study themes

This study explores various operating systems, focusing on lesser-known OS features and their applications. The objective is to deepen your understanding of operating systems, enhancing both your knowledge and perspective. By participating, you can earn up to 2 extra points on your final mark. Presentations will include a draft paper submitted to the instructor, a workshop in the last class, and a brief PowerPoint overview (5-10 minutes). Topics will cover Linux file systems like Logical Volume Manager, FreeBSD's ZFS, Mac OS X Leopard, and various embedded and real-time operating systems.
