2. About Walmart Walmart is a huge B2B platform serving to US market for decades. They link retailers with wholesalers and provide a way of effective dealing. We worked on two projects of walmart: Global Catalog Walmart’s Global Catalog is a major internal application which records vast quantities of data about every product and supplier servicing the Walmart business. The system has been developed over several years. Data is fetched from the global catalog database and is then passed through different pipelines, with data then subsequently stored in the Cosmos Database. This information can be changed by Walmart and is also sent to Solr for further processing where Merlin can sync the data. Merlin Merlin is a web application used for B2B buying and selling. This is only a front end which get all the products from “Global Catalog”. Buyer can create a buy plan and submit that buy plan to sourcing. “Bamboo Rose” is another walmart application that does the sourcing. Once wholesalers agree with the cost and they send the offer back to the retailer via Bamboo rose. Buyer has the option to either accept or reject the offer or send a new proposed offer The Challenge They were struggling to make the product stable before it can be used by the customers. The system was designed with bad architecture and there were so many faults in the system. They were looking for a solution that can test the system well and provide concise reporting to management so that decisions can be made when they can go live. In each spring test cases for new user stories are written inside Xray and when build is ready for testing, QA team first test all the new user stories with pre-written test cases, followed by the regression testing. Automating the right test case, that saves time and cost of development. Proving a better reporting of each release that helps management to make proper decisions. We decide which test case can be automated and mark that test case as “Ready to Automate”. Those test cases can be picked up to automate using cypress and lately marked as automated. We provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting that provide a confidence to higher management. Provided a complete architecture of CI/CD pipeline which is currently being reviewed by walmart.

3. The Result Project is already in beta release that we were able to deliver within a year and their internal team was struggling for this for the last several years.
