  1. Welcome to Mrs. Warner’s 5th grade class! A fun class to be in and a fun way to learn! By: Ashley Goldberg and Lauren Postell

  2. Specials!!!!!  You will have your normal specials like 4th grade but differently than you do them. You will have Music one half of the year and Art the other half. You will have Gym all year long. Although with Library and computer lab you don’t have them once every week. Your teacher has to sign up for days in the Library and computer lab. If you have half days the day will count. I will talk about days in the next slide. So keep reading along.

  3. Days Days in middle school are pretty crazy. There are A/C days and B/D days. They mark out what specials we have. In middle school you don’t say “ We have Music every Tuesday “ you will have Music on A/C days or B/D days. Right now we have Art on A/C days and Gym on B/D days. / /

  4. Periods The face to the left is tired from learning Our periods in middle school are strange. They start at weird times in the day for example 7th period starts at 12:38. Instead of 12:40 its 12:38. You will have homeroom, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th, and dismissal. In those periods you will have your subjects( I will talk about subjects in the next slide so keep reading along)

  5. Mrs. Warner E.L.A and Social Studies You will have E.L.A. and Social Studies with Mrs. Warner. She does her work with Mrs. Straub. Mrs. Warner changes up the way she teaches so if you have a brother or sister in her class chances are you will learn something totally different. With Social Studies we have old books and new books our old books are very old so they are in bad shape. The new books we hardly ever use but sometimes we do. E.L.A and Social Studies are really fun with Mrs. Warner. She is the most helpful and kind teacher to teach you E.L.A and S.S ( social studies ).

  6. Mrs. Kinney Math and Science With Mrs. Kinney she does Math and Science. With Science we get books and we need a folder to put our stuff in to study. We have Science tests at the end of each chapter NOT lesson. For math you start with working books and then when you are done with those we get textbooks. In Math we learn Geometry, Times Tables and more. Mrs. Kinney is really nice too.

  7. Lockers For lockers in middle school you have combinations. For example maybe someone’s combination is 35,15,09. You have to remember it all year long. DO NOT SHARE YOUR COMBINATION WITH ANYONE!!!!!!!!!! If you need help go to someone you can trust or go to your teacher. You will get a piece of paper with your combination on it and it will be in your tracker. If you forget you don’t have to worry. 5th grade lockers are green 6th are red and 7th are tan.
