  2. Standard MA.7.7 2000 • Keegan and Corby can eat a 50 pound bag of Old Yeller dog food in 4 weeks. • A bag of that costs $24.99. • How much money would it cost to keep them fed for a regular year?

  3. Explanation and Answer The cost is…. $1,324.47 • Why? • Find amount of weeks in a year. • 365/7=52.142…. • Round that to 53 weeks, because you can’t by a faction of a bag of food. • Multiply 53 weeks by the cost of food. • 24.99*53=1324.47

  4. Standard MA.7.7 2000 • Once Corby’s belly is full, she takes her regular nap. • She eats twice a day. • If she sleeps for 1.5 hours per meal, how many hours is that in a year?

  5. Explanation and answer The answer is… 1,095 hours of napping! • Why? • Since she takes two 1.5 hour naps a day, multiply 1.5 by 2, to get 3. • So that’s 3 hours of napping a day. • Now multiply that by the amount of days in a year, 365. • That answer is 1,095.

  6. Have a nice day now! Thanks for doing this math and stuff.
