  4. We are focused on the revitalization of a diverse cultural district to enhance innovative economic development through collaborative efforts. Recognize downtown as the heart of Terrebonne Parish by way of innovation and creative collaboration through: • Revitalization of the historic nature through preservation and rejuvenation of historical landmarks; • Stimulating pedestrian activity and interaction to provide a unique and safe place. • Reconnecting the importance of downtown for all communities, cultures, and heritages; • Creating collaborative artistic opportunities and encouraging artist collaboration; • Drawing and arranging the blue prints that will lead to sustainable economic development; • Creating new opportunities that support and encourage the active involvement of community members; and • Forming a bridge that will allow family and friends of all generations to reconnect with downtown Houma.
