  2. Summary of the Rule • Applies to ALL healthcare facilities licensed by CDPHE • Report seasonal influenza vaccination of employees by March 31stof each year

  3. Summary of the Rule • All facilities that meet the target rate are exempt from many parts of the rule (10.7 – 10.12) for the following year. • If Hospital, Hospital Unit, or ASC does not meet the target rate, then they are required to implement an influenza vaccination policy that includes medical exemptions and masking requirement. • All other facilities that do not meet target rate required to perform an assessment and develop updated policy. • Medically exempt employees do not count towards the target vaccination rate.

Results for Year 1 • 2,020 licensed and active facilities • 1,449 facilities or 72% reported by the extended May 17th deadline • Out of those who responded… • 78.4% of responding facilities were in compliance with the BOH rule in year 1 • Nearly half of responding facilities met or are very close to the final target of 90%.
