  2. What is Perseverance? • Perseverance can best be described by saying “Not giving up”. • Or, Perseverance can also be described as working hard to achieve a goal.

  3. Examples of Perseverance… • People who go to College and graduate persevere. • Someone trying to achieve a goal like a race can be said to have persevered.

  4. People who Persevere! • Astronauts Persevere, especially to be selected to go to space. • Lance Armstrong, a cyclist perseveres when he races.

  7. Samuel Johnson (1709 – 1784) • Few things are impossible to diligence and skill. Great works are performed not by strength, but perseverance.
