  1. micro:bit Global Challenge [Add innovation name] [Add team name]

  2. The challenge: • Design and create an original innovation using micro:bit to help to improve safety for children. • 7 key tasks: • Defining the problem • Designing • Prototyping • Coding • Evaluating • Presenting • Entering the micro:bit Global Challenge competition

  3. The problem Explain: • the problem are you focussing on • why this is an important problem • the impact this problem has on individuals and communities • why you personally care about it

  4. The innovation Think about explaining: • what your innovation is called • how it will it help solve the problem you identified • what impact it could have • how you will make it easy to use • why you decided on this innovation over others • what feedback you had on your idea(s) • if you revised your innovation after feedback and how

  5. The paper prototype Explain: • what you have created • why you have created it • how it will help you and others • feedback you have had on your prototype • what works best and what you would change • include an image of your paper prototype which shows how it will look and your instructions (algorithm) of how to use it.

  6. micro:bit prototype Explain: • how you coded, tested and debugged your micro:bit prototype • interesting/tricky parts of your code • what problems you had and how you overcome them? • the feedback you have had on your prototype • changes you would make to your prototype in the future • Include image(s) of your code

  7. Evaluating your innovation Explain: • How does your innovation meet the criteria? • What else have you learnt from this challenge? Consider: • 安全につかう • creating and refining original ideas • paper & coding prototypes • problems you encountered and how you solved them • what you would do differently next time

  8. Presenting your innovation: instructions [Delete this slide once you have your presentation ready] • Complete your presentation to present it to the class • 5 minutes max • keep it simple • make it interesting for your audience • ensure you have included: • what you have created • why you have created it • How it will help address the problem
