Success Habits Affirmation every day Quote - post in room -- “excuses or results” Follow up after class -- right away -- write Stay on target -- ask, clarify, check understanding, active listening Routine - prepare for school -- “get in groove” Consistent bedtime Down time at end of the day Focus on children – remember why you are doing this (inspiration) Homework 30 minutes per day Self-Defeating Habits Play video games Organize music files - right music for homework Partying Stay up late to watch TV Wandering mind – off focus – distracted Not having regular sleep patterns New habits that would benefit you Checking calendar regularly Better planning Consistent place to put things ONE place for calendar Use small notebooks for each class Changing Habits
