  2. WHAT IS DIWALI? Diwali is the Hindu festival of light. It lasts for 5 days and the children get off school! They celebrate with fireworks!

  3. Celebations Diwali is celebrated by Hindus in India all around the world there is people that come to celebrate . Friends and family also come round to celebrate for a meal and the kids always eat first then after adults are finished the grandma reads a story. It’s good luck to greet her. They also light candles so Lakshmiand Sitafind there way home .

  4. Rama and sita In the beginning prince Rama was banished to live in the forest. Sita, his wife ,and Laksmana his brother went with him. They encountered the demon king Ravana He saw Sita and thought “I want her to be my wife!” Although the brothers tried to keep Sita safe, she was tricked and eventually Ravana caught her. Fortunately, Hanuman the monkey king helped Rama fight the demons .

  5. LAKSHMI Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth. She is very pretty and has four arms . She is dressed in red silk. Behind her is either 1 or 2 elephants. She is also massaging Vishnusfeet. She is one of the most popular goddesses! And every one lights candles to welcome her.
