American Red Cross, Southern Region The Southern Region supplies 120 hospitals in Georgia and a small part of South Carolina We must collect a minimum of 1200 units each day to meet the needs of these hospitals We collect blood in most of the state of Georgia, a small part of South Carolina, and a small part of Florida

  3. American Red Cross, Southern Region The American Red Cross provides all products to the hospitals in Columbus Columbus Regional is one of our biggest sponsors collecting more than 600 units a year

  4. American Red Cross, Southern Region, Utilization in the Columbus area hospitals last year (FY08, July 1-June 30) exceeded 15,000 units of blood, 1,100 single donor platelets, and 3,400 units of plasma. The current run rate should exceed this amount in Fiscal Year 09.

  5. American Red Cross, Southern Region, Central Georgia District FY08 Collections for Columbus and surrounding area(Chattahoochee, Marion, Muscogee, and Talbot counties) were 9,418. FY09 Collections for the same area with an annualized run rate are 9,674.
