  2. Imagine... You work as translators in a local publishing company. One of the current projects is an anthology of poems written by select Filipino writers.

  3. As the anthology is set for international release, the publisher intends to make it a bilingual edition, with English translations provided. Your boss has put you in charge of translating the poems into English.

  4. The audience is composed of Literature students and professors and adult readers of poetry. Your boss reminds you to maintain the message and tone of the poem and use language appropriate for the target audience.

  7. Groups 1, 3, 5, and 7: Please work with “Kay Nora Aunor” by Jean Page Groups 2, 4, 6, and 8: Please work with “Bago Mo Ako Ipalaot” by Luna Sicat

  8. Submit what you finish at the end of the period (write your output on a one-half crosswise sheet of paper). You will be given an opportunity in a succeeding meeting to refine your translation. Please remember to write the names of the group members.
