  2. Sally Shackelford & Nancy Sherman Sally and Nancy are both 2nd grade teachers with Hoover City Schools. Sally teaches at Trace Crossings and Nancy teaches at Deer Valley. Both have an EdS in Technology in Education from Lesley University. Sally and Nancy are very passionate about technology and integrating technology in the curriculum.

  3. What is a QR Code? • A QR code is a type of bar code. QR means quick response. These codes are read with a camera phone, iTouch or bar code reader. Once you scan the code, it can take you to a website, a movie, a recording, text, email, text message, phone number, etc.

  5. How To Scan QR Codes • Use an iTouch or an iPhone that has a camera. • You will need a QR Reader app that is free from the iTunes store. From your iTouch or iPhone, select the app. • Select scan. • Hold iTouch/iPhone in front of the code until you see the code in the screen. • Press scan, you will hear the camera click. • Press follow link. • Be patient while it loads.
