I can figure out how he is feeling by thinking about what I know and what happened to Mr. R!

When I am reading, I usually take notes on what I’m not sure I understand correctly. Then I can review those when I am done reading!

This type of poem has 3 lines
First line = 5 syllables
Second line = 7 syllables
Third line = 5 syllables
What is a haiku?
This poem has a rhyming pattern

This poem is humorous, doesn’t make sense, and has 5 lines with a specific pattern
What is a limerick?
This is the repetition of consonant sounds within or at the end of words
What is consonance?
The author has a specific topic or message in the writing. We need to find what that is!
What is main idea?
When we are writing we need to make sure that each of these has it’s own main idea and supporting details.
What are paragraphs?
An author has a main idea in the writing to get something across to everyone.
What is their point?
When writing a recipe the main idea is how to make the item. But a recipe needs to follow some sort order.
What is logical order?
I am so excited for the holiday break! We have already put our Christmas tree up and have started to decorate the house. We are taking our son to see Santa this weekend! My husband and I are enjoying buying lots of toys for the kids!
