Project CRADLE Care • January 3rd Saturday annually • To provide prenatal and postnatal education(information) to women of child-bearing ages through partnering with doctors, hospitals, churches, malls and other agencies to sponsor a Health Fair or Health Symposium. • Focus-Education and Awareness • Rationale- To save babies’ lives. Many babies are born too soon each year with many life threatening challenges; to provide information and assist mothers in delivering their babies on time.

  2. Suggested Programs • Baby Shower • Health Symposium • Health Fair

  3. Project CRADLE Care- Baby Shower Program Ideas for: Undergraduate chapters and smaller alumnae chapters • Invite doctors (OB/GYN, Pediatrician) or nurses to discuss prenatal issues and newborn issues with the mothers • Donate baby baskets • Host “Healthy Mom/Healthy Baby” fun facts game • Give March of Dimes materials at the baby shower

Project CRADLE Care- Health Symposium Program Ideas: • Panel discussion with doctors (OB/GYN , Pediatrician), nurse, community resource representative, and daycare • Educational workshops for pregnant mothers • Educational workshops for fathers and extended family members • Relaxation sessions for pregnant mothers

Project Cradle Care- Health Fair Program Ideas: • Informational tables with March of Dimes materials • Prenatal Checklist (OB/GYN or Nurse) • Nutritionist • Mommy and Me- Pediatrician • Fitness demonstrations • Relaxation demonstrations • Parenting resource and support group informational tables • Workshops for mothers, fathers, and extended family members
