  1. GOD HELPS HIS CHILDREN • SCRIPTURE READING AND SONG SERVICE • When especially troubling times come, I believe God gives special strength to deal with them 1Cor 10:13; 2Cor 1:3-4; Heb 13:6 • How? Acts 26:22; Heb 4:16 • Prayer – Don't use it as a "last resort!" Psa 30:10 • Bible reading – (Read Psalm 139 often) • Worship - Keeps us in perspective - Especially singing! Jhn 4:21-24; Col 3:15-17

GOD HELPS HIS CHILDREN • SCRIPTURE READING AND SONG SERVICE • Sometimes He comforts & strengthens through His children 2Cor 1:5-7; 1Pet 5:6-9 • We "rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep" (Rom 12:15) • Because there is strength in numbers & unity especially in times of trouble. Ecc 4:9-12 • God will supply all our needs Phil 4:19

GOD HELPS HIS CHILDREN • Whether it is some national tragedy or a personal crisis, the pain & sorrow is just as intense. • But Christians do not sorrow as those who have no hope! 1Thess 4:13 • Remain steadfast under trial Jas 1:12 • There is sustenance in suffering • There is comfort in crisis • There is reward for persistence • Never lose sight of the fact that what awaits us is more precious than sorrows and setbacks of life Rom 8:18
