NTA to Conduct NET Exam • National Eligibility Test (NET) is organised to select the deserving candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). • Till Now the NET Exam was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). • This is going to be first time when NTA will conduct the NET Exam. • To know in brief see the next slide

  3. What is NTA? • National Testing Agency is a statutory body which is assigned to conduct various kinds of competitive exams. • This agency is to replace almost all present examination conducting bodies. • From 2019 onward, NTA will organise the exams -JEE Main, NEET, UGC NET.

  4. Latest Announcement • HRD Minister (Prakash Javadekar) announced that newly formed National Testing Agency would now conduct the national level exams – UGC NET, NEET, JEE Main that were organised by CBSE. • According to the minister, these exams will be conducted twice a year so that candidates can use the best score from the examinations in counselling process.

  5. Schedule of UGC NET Exam • UGC NET Application form Submission – 1st September 2018 to 30 September 2018 • UGC NET Examination Date – 2nd December 2018 to 16th December 2018 • Declaration of Result – Last week of January 2019

  6. Is there Any Changes in UGC NET Exam ? HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar saith that there will be no changes in UGC NET Exam like syllabus, questions formats, language and fees.
