  2. Objective: Learn tips on managing multiple generations and creating a successful succession plan for the younger generations that are the future leaders of your institution.

  3. Succession Planning: What is it? Succession planning is a process for identifying and developing internal personnel with the potential to fill key or critical organizational positions.

  4. Succession Planning: Questions Leaders Should Ask What are the key areas which require continuity and development of the people within your department? Who are the key people you want to develop and nurture for the future? What tools should you use to nurture different generations?

  5. Succession Planning: How do you get there? Understand the different generations Focus on the strengths of each generation Leaders should be “we” focused Establish mentoring opportunities Document processes and procedures Provide opportunities for younger employees
