The judge knew that the guilty person would cut two inches off his or her stick to avoid being caught. Sample Response: An electric lamp could be used instead of a match and candle to fill the room with light. Sample Response: An old man who had three sons decided to leave his house and farm to his cleverest son. The old man created a test to determine which of his sons was the cleverest. The sons had to buy something that would fill an entire room.
